I bought this in gold with the threaded barrel for my Glock 17 build. Besides the immediate look and feel of quality, and catch-your-eyes features, it was a drop-in with no gunsmithing required for a great fit. The action is excellent when cycling the slide. If you’re looking to dress up and improve your Glock 17, this is the barrel for you.
I have not added a compensator yet, but it’s on the list.

I got the threaded MDC version for my P80 G17 build. It was an easy drop-in installation, no fitting required. Besides looking great it shoots great as well. Definitely going to buy another when I get around to my next build.

Got the black threaded barrel for my g17 g5. Fit and function has been good. Still working on the break-in process. Very disappointed however with the quality of the coating. After about 200rds the coating has worn off in almost every wear spit. For the price i expected a bit better

Hey Daniel, we are sorry to hear you are having issues with the coating. I know how frustrating that can be, and this is not a normal thing. We would be happy to offer a recoat for this if you are interested. ALSO, take a look at the BARREL section on our FAQ page. I have copied it below. WE have some helpful info about getting everything ready for use! Thank you!
Do not worry, we have some ideas to help! Please check out this video on breaking in our barrels and slides:

Our barrels and slides are plated with an extremely hard finish that uses the PVD coating process. These finishes, when new, can be micro abrasive and require a break in period to burnish the finish into other metal contact areas. We suggest using grease lubrication on all metal-to-metal contact areas on the barrel and slide to help this burnishing process along.
Killer Innovations recommends using Lucas Red n Tacky #2 Grease during break in.
We do not recommend you run our compensator until this break in has been done. It will usually take 300 to 400 rounds to completely break in.
During this break-in period, you will get misfeeds and failures to feed. This is normal and should stop once your barrel is fully broken in.
If issues persist, make sure you are using an OEM connector and safety plunger as some aftermarket parts can add excessive drag and cause feeding issues.
If you are still having problems, please contact support@killer-innovations.com, or call our office at 844-214-8622 for assistance.

Purchased the V1 slide/barrel for a p80 g17 build a little over a year ago. Originally got the gold unthreaded. 1st day went 500 rds. Only jammed 2 times before the 300 round count. Around the 350 the action got much smoother. Have about 2,000 rds through using federal American eagle 115 gr fmj and haven’t had a single jam since. I keep it greased well with red high temp auto grease. The control on grouping is far better than my other base g17 at around 1,700 rds. Love it so much I got a threaded barrel in black.
Awsome barrells!

Have gotten several barrels and slides from killer innovations, the break in procedure is easy to follow and for me has been very accurate, I’ve put over a thousand rounds through my g19 and g17 barrels and slides and have had no problems after breaking them in.

Bought the threaded black barrel for my Gen 5 G47. Installed the barrel in my stock slide with Radian Compressor Quick Tune Guide Rod 13lb spring. I have ran 520+ rounds with this set-up following all recommend instructions from both KI and Radian. I have had ZERO issues. I have ran everything from 115 FMJ, Underwood +P Xtreme Penetrators, 147gr Federal HST, and Hornady 147gr SubSonic XTP. I have shot suppressed with YHM Sidewinder M2 9mm Suppressor and unsuppressed. After doing all this, again, I have had ZERO malfunctions. Accuracy is on point suppressed and unsuppressed. To be honest I would not believe it if somebody told me this, but its true and this had been my personal experience. I would absolutely recommend this barrel to anyone looking for a reliable drop in threaded barrel for their Glock 47. I just recently bought the KI Comp and just installed on barrel and will go out and shoot a couple hundred rounds tomorrow and test the same way. Will post review on that when finish testing. Thank you and God bless.
